Former Governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau has accused the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso of betrayal. Shekarau made this claim days after dumping the NNPP for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The lawmaker representing Kano Central district during an interview on Channels TV disclosed that Kwankwaso refused to implement the agreement they had.

The Nigerian Army has confirmed that more Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists and their families have surrendered to the soldiers. The terrorists and their families who surrendered to the Army also laid down their weapons. They included 19 male fighters, 19 adult females, and 49 children.
